John Ringling put his fortune into an art museum, a Venetian Gothic mansion and a school that still turns out designers, and the town never quite got over it. The result is a market with opera and ballet seasons, a film festival, galleries on Palm Avenue, and a clientele that reads a car the way it reads a painting — carefully, and without needing to be told what it cost. Delivery Across Sarasota and Manatee
We deliver curbside at Sarasota-Bradenton International, which is small, quick and far less painful than the alternatives. Resort delivery covers St. Armands Circle, Lido Key and Longboat Key; residence delivery runs through downtown, Bird Key, Siesta Key and Lakewood Ranch, and we go north to Bradenton and south through Osprey, Nokomis, Venice and Englewood.
The Sarasota Fleet
The demand here is different from anywhere else on the Gulf Coast. Bentley Flying Spur, Rolls-Royce Ghost, Maybach and the Range Rover Autobiography do the bulk of the work, and they are appreciated properly — clients in this market will ask about the specification and mean it. The exotics come out for Siesta Key weekends and for the drive down to Venice, but the default here is quiet quality rather than volume.
Season and the Arts Calendar
Sarasota fills from January through April, with the opera, ballet and theatre seasons overlapping and St. Armands busy every evening. That is the window to book ahead. The Circle at dinner time, an evening at the Van Wezel, and the drive out along the causeway to Longboat afterwards is about as good as an evening in Florida gets.
